Family Wall Display · Effective October 1, 2026

Family Wall Display ("the app") is a private, non-commercial dashboard used by a single household on a screen at home. This policy explains exactly what the app does with Google user data. It is short because the app is small.

Who this is

The app is built and operated by its owner, Sheldon Pegram, for use in his own home. Contact: sheldon.pegram@gmail.com.

What data the app accesses

With the owner's permission, the app uses the Google Calendar API with the single scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly (read-only). It reads:

The app does not read email, contacts, files, or anything else, and it cannot create, change or delete any calendar data.

How the data is used

Events are shown on the household's wall display, and on the owner's own computer or phone when he opens the same private page at home. They are shown nowhere else. The data is used for no other purpose: not for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training any machine-learning model.

How the data is stored

Sharing

The app does not sell, rent, share or transfer Google user data to anyone. No one outside the household has access to it. It is displayed only on the household's own screens.

Retention and deletion

Because events are kept only in memory, they disappear when the server restarts. To stop all access, the owner can revoke the app at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or delete the app's Google Cloud project. The stored credential then stops working and can be deleted from the server.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
